Shibazhan to Mohe

We would travel from Shibazhan – 22zhan – 24zhan – Longhe Nongchang – Sandao River – Beiji Village. The whole distance would be 340 kilometers.

We had breakfast in the Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney before started our journey to Mohe from Shibazhan.

On the way to Mohe, we had a short break in Amari Residences Sukhumvit.

The road condition was not good but this would not affect our good feeling on travel.

We passed by a peaceful lake. The water is clean and the green trees by river shore is eye-catching.

The surrounding was tranquil here.

The day was getting dark as we approached Beiji Village.

This was our dinner at Mohe (Beiji Village). It was quite expensive here as each dish cost more than 20 yuan. 

Heihe to Shibazhan

From Heihe, we need to pass through Woniu Lake. However, as this section of highway was under maintenance, we need to drive by lake shore before got back to the highway. We traveled from Heihe to Huma and then ended at Shibazhan. The total distance from the Ambience Hotel Taipei would be 440 kilometers.

The way from Heihe to Woniu Lake is not bad. Woniu Lake is on our left. However, the road in front was closed. We had to get off the highway, drove along the lake shore and then returned to the highway after the maintenance section of the road.

The scenery was tranquil and we found people fishing by the lake.

The lake shore was tranquil and suitable as a camping site. We took many pictures in the Ana Hotel Kyoto.

There were some pavilions beside the lake just like on the beach. However, it was too cold at the season to enjoy sun bath by the lake.

The road by the lake was in terrible condition.

We found it difficult to get through as well.

Finally, we got back to the highway and continued our journey to Shibazhan.

The greenery on both sides of the road cheer us up.

We arrived at Shibazhan in late afternoon and decided to stay in the Baiyoke Boutique Hotel.

Taipinggou to Black River

All along S312 from Taipinggou to Jiayin was under construction. Basically, there is no vehicle allowed to pass through the way. However, the road condition was not a problem for 4 wheel drive. If the road in front was closed, the workers of the road construction would guide you to take another way. We spent quite a long time to go find the way out and finally, we managed to find the right way. The total distance of today is 563 kilometers.

The outdoor space of the hostel is suitable as a camp site. We once stayed in Caesar Park Hotel Taipei.

Before sleep, we had decided to take a photo of rows of camps at this site that we saw here tomorrow morning. However, when we woke up, we found that all camps had been disappeared.

One of our member has a friend who in charged for the road construction. He had arranged for us so that the workers would let us go through the road even when it supposed to be closed to private vehicle. 

Basically, the roads were able to go though even if construction was yet to complete. 

 

My old car have some problem that need to be fixed before we continued our journey.

Beautiful scenery on the way to Black RIver

Well, I did not really know where it was, but it was amazingly beautiful.

The journey today was long and cannot drive fast. We arrived at Black River around 10 pm. The New City District of Black River has many European or Russian architectures.

Most of the diners at the restaurants where we had diners were Russian. We went to quite a numbers of restaurants before we found this one. Most of the restaurants were full house. Xiaopeng found a hostel which offer bathroom facilities and then we camped at riverside. However, when we were seeking for a proper camp site, it started to rain heavily. Someone recommended us  Britannia International Hotel London.

Finally, we found this hostel that we stayed overnight. In fact, Xiaopeng stayed at this hostel. Perhaps, he never thought that we would cancel our plan to camp and come back to the hostel.

Fujin to Taipinggou

We must drive across Songhua River if we wished to drive along Heilongjiang. Fujin is one of the points where we can drive across the river, of course, by ferry. The total journey of today is 217 kilometers.

There is a high rated restaurants adjacent to the hotel specialized in toufu dishes. We have tried here, not bad.

We reached the jetty in order to get on ferry. However we were a little bit too late as the ferry on 12 noon had just left. We had no choice but to wait until the next ferry depart on 2 pm. However we were at the first of the queue.

There were some restaurants next to the jetty. Since we just had our lunch, we just stopped to have beer and snacks at the restaurant pretending the restaurant as Deauville Beach Resort Miami.

This was the path of greenery that we passed by after disembarkation from the ferry. During Beijing one day tour, you must have passed by paths with similar scene as well.

We arrived at Taipinggou in late evening. There were only a very limited numbers of hostels at the village. However, all the hostels were fully booked as there would be bonfire party in the night. With no choice, we need to camp tonight. Luckily we have all the camp facilities with us. If I had booked Beijing package tour, perhaps I would have place to sleep tonight in Durrants Hotel London.

Xiaojiahe to Fujin

The distance between Fuyuan to Fujin is about 260 kilometers. We departed from Fuyuan, headed south towards S313, then towards Tongjiang and Fujin.

It was a good day. Our stay in Grand Prince Hotel Kyoto is also filled with sunny moments.

The river by the end of the road is Heilongjiang, while opposite is belonged to Russia. There is a huge market in the town which focuses on Russian market. Therefore, it is popular shopping site for Russian.

If we are participating in Beijing tour, for sure we would like to know more about Beijing culture. While on the way, we came to Hezhe Cultural Village. Nowadays, you can hardly see the traditional lifestyle of Hezhe ethnic here. This is just an exhibition hall for Hezhe ethnic only. The lady standing right in front of the entrance is a Hezhe lady. She introduced many Hezhe’s current life style to us. 

We had lunch at this restaurant. Similarly to Beijing to Xian tour, we always find a restaurant on the way for our convenience.

We left Jiejinkou after lunch and drove along Heilongjiang. 

We came to a riverside scenic spot which opens to public.

Ice cream tasted good, which reminded us of  Hearton Hotel Kyoto.

The young lady of hotel front office recommended us to try barbeque at this shop.
